Now here I was, thinking you were quoting the last line to the last song on the last album that the Beatles recorded together… Silly me, it’s the last chapter of one my new favorite stories! LOL!
OK, done showing my age, onto the chapter! 🙂

    • LOL Oh shush, you. I’ll have you know that WHILE I was posting this, I was SINGING that very song. 🙂 it seemed like the perfect way to introduce the end of the story. It’s kind of a weird quirk, but I tend to sing those lines whenever I read the words The End. LOL Now you know too much about my weird brain. Also, you should know you’re not alone! We play Beatles RockBand on a regular basis in this house. 🙂

🙂 Why wouldn’t you? It’s a great song! Abbey Road is my favorite album of all-time, and that’s exactly where my brain goes whenever I read those words! LOL! Great, dirty minds think alike! Also, it’s so cool that you’re turning your kids onto The Beatles. Start ’em young, get them to appreciate that classic rock, and they will love it, and listen to great music all their lives! 🙂

      • I like to think that Abbey Road was the best gift my mother gave me. I plan to pay it forward to my kids (and so much more!). I’m honored to be a dirty mind that thinks like you. 😉

I’m starting to get antsy. I haven’t been able to use my dirty mind for weeks now and it’s driving me nuts. Real life is swallowing me whole. One of these days I need to come up for air…

You poor dear! Summer is almost over & the kids will be back in school soon! That will leave you plenty of time to get back in the dirty mind set! hehehe!
When my ex took off the for the final time, he made sure he took all my albums & tapes with him, the rat bastard! I had a huge collection, including most of The Beatles, that was my brother’s. He passed away in 1972 and that was all I had left of him. I’m sure those are gone now after the CD & download revolution, but I would have kept them anyway. Now that turntables are back, I would love to have them, but they’re probably in a landfill in New Jersey… That might be the only thing I hate him for. He had no right to take those, others we purchased together, fine. Those? Nope! Karma bit him in the ass in the end anyway, so I got my justice! LOL! 🙂

      • Oh, what a shame! I’m so sorry that your ex is such a dick. No wonder you’re not together. 🙂 Turntables have certainly made a comeback, so maybe it’s time to raid someone’s neglected collection!

I like the IDEA of kids going back to school and me having alone time, but I’ve been subbing all week and will be next week, too. So no alone time for me. Paychecks are nice though. 🙂 Things will settle down…eventually!

Meh! That was almost 30 years ago, and that’s really all I can hate him for; otherwise, it’s all water under the bridge. We were just kids, but he gave me my wonderful daughter!
Now paychecks! There’s something to love, even if you have to work to get them… Subbing, already? When do your kids go back? It’s so early! You’re right though, things do have a way of settling down eventually & I hope that happens for you soon! A dirty mind is a terrible thing to waste! LOL! It’s what keeps from dropping off into complete dementia! 🙂 Have fun subbing!

      • Subbing didn’t last long (a week and a half is long enough…), and since then, I’ve started teaching at the school as their botany specialist. It’s great to be in all the classrooms sharing my nerdiness with them. Sadly, today is the first day I’ve been able to chill at home and attempt to let my creative mind think of wonderful things. I hope I can get into a routine that doesn’t try to kill me. So far, I’m not pleased with how busy I am away from home…you’re right though. Paychecks are nice. 🙂

Botany specialist? How cool is that? Love it! It is a tough balance, a job outside the home combined with the never-ending one in the home! It’s funny how people still don’t see home life as a job! It’s more work than I ever did 9-5. Still, a paycheck is a nice reward! Maybe enough to share with a housekeeper… 🙂 Have fun though, that’s most important!

      • LOL Now you’re really dreaming! A housekeeper would be delightful, but I’m not sure I’d ever be able to sit by while someone else cleans up my mess! Maybe when I’m a rich and famous author. 😉 I’m funny, see?

For now, I’ll stick with my multiple part time jobs and getting sick constantly because I’m around kids all the time. 🙂 Living the dream!

I know, I know! I’m the same. We have someone we could hire, but I just know I’d have to be sedated while she’s here because I’d be watching like a hawk, and Heaven forbid she misses a spot! I’d clean the bedroom before she arrives because there’s no way I’d let someone think I live in this dusty, cluttered mess! So why hire her, right? I am such a freakin’ Virgo!
You are funny! You never know when it’s going to happen, my friend! That next book could be the one! 🙂
Oh, you’re sick, too? I’ve got my first cold of the season. It’s a little early, but the germs are out full blast already! I’m going back to hibernating as soon as I’m done with all dental appointments, doctor appointments, and next round of medical tests. Being around sick people only makes you sick when you have autoimmune diseases, and people in the medical field (who really should know better) come into work when they’re sick & cough all over you! Nice…
Sending you well wishes, and hopes for both us to remain healthy as long as possible! 🙂

      • My cold didn’t last long, thankfully! I just had to take it easy and rest! HA. I’ve been burning the candle from both ends so now I hope I don’t run into one of those sick people at this point because it could mean another illness. So dumb.
