Chapter 2

Sookie’s POV

Clothing rustled, and then he was dressed and standing next to her. “How’s your hand?”

“Fine.” She met his eyes briefly, and could feel confusion and sadness radiating off of him. She turned toward the window. “Are we flying out of here?” Eric’s powerful blood filled her with the idea she could fly by herself. She stepped onto the roof just outside the window.

“Hold onto me,” he said right behind her.

She turned to face him, but wouldn’t look in his eyes. He opened his arms to her and she gripped him tightly just before he took off. The cold morning wind whipped around her face, stinging her eyes and stealing her breath. She burrowed against his chest and wrapped her legs around him, trying to ignore the urge to shiver.

Eric’s fingers spread out across her back and ass, holding the silk robe in place while they flew.

Eventually, they descended and then Eric touched the ground gently. Sookie tried to unwrap her frozen limbs, but they wouldn’t move. “I can’t move. Too cold.” She managed to turn her head away from him slightly, noticing his shiny Corvette parked outside a dark house. “Where are we?” I thought he was taking me to Alcide’s apartment.

“At my, uh, friend’s house. I’ll carry you inside.” He unlocked the front door and then closed and locked it behind them. “A warm shower is what you need.” He maneuvered through the house without turning on any lights, and then they were in the bathroom. He put her down gently on the counter next to the sink and slowly pulled her arms and legs off his body so he could start the shower.

The room filled with steam as he undressed her. Her skin glowed, just like his. He didn’t speak as he unhooked her bra and garter, or when he pulled her stockings and high heels off, dropping them to the ground. He touched her cheek gently. Even in the darkness, she could see him looking at her.

“Why are you so sad?” he whispered.

She squeezed her eyes shut and turned away from him. “Bernard is waiting.”

“You think I’m going back?” he asked.

She looked right at him. “You said…”

“I told him I would take you home, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do.” He put his finger on her lips, stopping her from interrupting. “I have no intention of leaving you. Not now, or ever again.” He unbuttoned his vest and shirt, tossing them to the ground with her clothes. Next, he slid out of his pants and boxers with one swift movement until he stood in front of her naked. He wedged himself between her legs. “I’m not leaving you. You’re mine.”

The tears she had worked so hard to contain spilled out of her eyes. She wrapped her arms around his chest and rested her face against him. Sobs shook her body. Eric held her while she cried, which only made her cry harder. When she ran out of tears she was completely exhausted, so she let him carry her into the stream of warm water. Every muscle in her body relaxed as he washed her, and then he wrapped her in a towel and carried her down a set of stairs to a bedroom. It seemed like it had been years since she’d slept, and the bed under her called out to her, begging her to lie down.

“You need rest.” Eric kissed her forehead and stretched out next to her. “We both do. The sun is coming.”

Sookie sighed and closed her eyes.

* * * *

The sheets tangled around Sookie’s legs when she rolled over. She bumped into something cool and hard. Eric. She smiled, and opened her eyes. During the day, she had stolen all the bedding, leaving Eric uncovered … from his head to his toes. Every glorious inch of him.

She searched the room for a window or clock – something that would tell her the time. Wrapped in the towel from the previous night, she slipped upstairs. Low evening sun spilled through the windows in the immaculate front room. The tiles in the kitchen warmed under her feet as she searched for something to eat. Food filled every shelf in the fridge. Expensive food. She filled a plate with cheese and fruit, leaned against the counter, and ate. Whoever Eric’s friend is, he’s a human. A rich human.

With a full belly, Sookie tiptoed downstairs. The sun is going to set soon. I wonder what Eric looks like when he wakes up?

She turned on a small light and crawled into bed next to him, leaving the towel on the floor. Propped on one elbow, she traced the outline of each muscle, curve, and crevice on his upper body. His nipples felt like pebbles under her fingers. She walked her digits to the center of his chest and followed the groove in his muscles all the way down to his belly button. His cock jutted up toward her. She smiled. Even in sleep, he’s ready for sex. She traced a line from hip to hip and leaned over to kiss his body. He didn’t move at all. No matter what she did. From that angle, she noticed his fangs jutting out of his partially open mouth. He’s always ready to eat, too.

She sucked his nipple into her mouth at the same moment her hand brushed against the smooth head of his cock. She bit him lightly, and then he groaned. Surprised, she sat up.

“Good evening,” he said, a small smile tugging up the corners of his mouth. His eyes remained closed.

“I’m sorry. I should’ve waited until you woke,” she whispered.

“I’ve been awake for a while now. I really like it when you bite me.” He looked at her and his smile grew. “I can’t think of a better way to wake up. Come here.” He crooked his finger at her.

Sookie slithered against his body and kissed him. “Are you always ready like this?” She licked his fangs and brushed against his dick again.

“I fell asleep next to you. Naked.” His fingers played against her back.

“That didn’t answer my question.”

“You’ll have to tell me the next time we sleep together. Come here,” he said as he lifted her so she straddled his chest. He started moving her again, closer and closer to his face. He closed his eyes, inhaled, and moaned, and then his tongue darted out of his mouth, barely reaching her slit.

A tremor worked its way through Sookie’s body, making her light-headed. She pitched forward, crushing her clit against Eric’s face and bracing herself on the wall above his head. He moaned again as his tongue pushed inside her over and over again. He gripped her ass and moved her body against his mouth, sucking and licking until she cried out. Her knees dug into the pillow as every muscle tightened. She reached between her legs and turned Eric’s face toward the soft hollow of her inner thigh. “Drink.”

His fangs slid into her flesh, and then his entire body shuddered. Still high from her orgasm, Sookie leaned against the wall and tried to get control of her breathing. Eric kissed her leg and licked the wound gently before thrusting his tongue into her one last time.

“I need to be inside you,” he said, his voice full of need.

“Mm hmm,” she mumbled. And then he lifted her again, dragging her down until she straddled his waist. Something cool and wet coated the inside of her thighs. She frowned.

“I couldn’t help myself. Tasting you like that is more than my body is equipped to handle.” He gave her a lopsided smile. “Thank you for feeding me.”

She reached behind her and gripped his cock, twisting her wrist. “I’m happy to feed you.”

“I’m going to come again if you keep touching me like that.”

She twisted her wrist again. “Who, me?” She grinned and then lifted off him so she could align their bodies. She tilted her hips down until her wet lips kissed his dick. He lifted his hips, rubbing against her.

“Fuck me,” he ordered.

“Like this?” she asked as she sank down on him a fraction of an inch before lifting off. She did it again, going a little farther. After the third time, Eric growled and flipped their bodies.

“No. Like this.” And then he pushed into her all the way. His body arched and his eyes closed. “You feel so good.”

“So good,” Sookie agreed.

He pulled out almost all the way and then rolled his hips as he thrust back inside her. He gathered her legs, propping them against his chest and then he pushed into her.

Her eyes rolled up into her head. “Yes. There.”

Eric groaned and then fucked her so fast she couldn’t watch him, even if she tried. The room filled with the sound of increasing intensity until finally, Sookie screamed.

In the next second, Eric roared as his cock swelled inside her. “I love making you scream.”

Sookie smiled and her eyes fluttered closed.

They held each other for a while, until she said, “I need to tell you something. About Bill.”

I know I liked it though. I try to stay current and of Montreal is one of the bands I’ve heard in recent years that I liked. Small venues are great for their music.

I even got a T-shirt from the merch table. 🙂 The concert was amazing, but as per usual with stupid Utah youth, people started moshing to the music. Hello, wasn’t that a thing 20 years ago? Get with the times! It was all good though. I held onto the person in front of me and jumped and flung myself around with them. It was an amazing night…I wish I could download images from my brain. 🙂 Some of their music is more mainstream, especially their newest album, Lousy with Sylvianbriar. I think you’d totally dig it. It has a very 60s-70s feel to it, which is why I love it! K, enough gushing…

I am SO happy for you! It’s great to read that you had such an amazing time! Yeah… Moshing? of Montreal doesn’t strike me as a band that would inspire moshing… Last time I saw moshing was at OzFest in 2000… Not for Ozzie, but for another band whose name is in the fog right now, but you’d know it if I wrote it…

I wish you could download those images too! Gush away, girl! I’d love to hear more! I’m sure I’d dig it, and probably would buy a CD or download.
        One cannot go to a concert & NOT buy a t-shirt! It’s a must! 🙂

Sounds like a great night altogether, and fantastic show! 🙂 Best way to top off a birthday celebration!

        Like

      • Yes, it really was! I think they should always tour in the fall, just for me. 😉 The moshing area didn’t get violent, just really mobile. So it was more of an unorganized dance with 50 strangers. Oh! And the funniest thing at the concert was the couple RIGHT in front of the stage that started making out near the end of the show. In the midst of turmoil, they held onto each other and practically banged right there. It was great. There was also a super handsy couple sitting off to the side. We get it. You’re together. LOL There was also a hipster young man with a pink bunny hat on. He was well over 6 feet tall and gangly as all get out, so I spent the night calling him Lurpy Bunny! I made up a voice and dialogue for him too, cuz that’s how I roll!

I wore my new T-shirt to a family dinner party, and my brother-in-law said, “What does that mean?” I explained it’s the name of a band. My favorite band. “You mean after the Beatles and Pink Floyd?” so I said, “No. Favorite. Ever.” He rolled his eyes and said, “If they’re so great, why don’t I know who they are?” I shrugged. I guess there’s not accounting for his limited listening experience. 🙂 Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE the Beatles and know all their songs too…but there’s something about seeing your favorite band singing live that really makes you love them forever. Plus, they make me happy, ever since I heard the first song. I was hooked!

You’ll be happy to know that I spent my ENTIRE weekend making grape juice and then turning that juice into jelly. It was exhausting (which is why I’m so behind on my reviews), but I now have 87 jars of jelly. Everything is a tradeoff, isn’t it? 🙂

87 jars of jelly? Wow! And grape juice? 🙂 You’re very domestic! I would never have the patience, nor even the knowledge of where to begin. That’s amazing! I’ll bet they make great Christmas gifts though! Yum! 🙂

Isn’t it fun to people watch at concerts? Some of the things you see… The guy with the bunny hate sounds hilarious! The two lusty couples are just so funny. There are always some of them in the crowd… drink a little too much? So much fun! Your BIL sounds like he can be rather pompous at times; there have been other bands over the last 50+ years in rock music other than The Beatles & Pink Floyd… Zeppelin? Eric Clapton? Santana? So many more…I’ve seen all of them, some of them multiple times. (No, I never saw The Beatles, obviously, but I’ve seen Paul McCartney twice, that’s the closest anyone could ever get.) I couldn’t agree more. Seeing your favorite band puts you in a dream-like state where you’re so enthralled with seeing & listening to them live that you never want the night to end! 🙂 When it does, you love the band even more than before seeing them because of the feelings you’ve experienced during that time. It’s an enchanting, magical experience; this is why I love live music! 🙂

I can rarely get my husband out to see bands. I can rarely get him out for anything, so if one of my favorites is coming to town, I take someone else. I don’t buy cheap seats anymore either. I’m too old for them now! I want the good ones because there’s no way I’m going to suffer the next day from sitting on the grass! 🙂

Good for you! I hate those damn things! Even with antibiotics it’s tough to get rid them here because it’s never dry, but if you use a dehumidifier and it gets too dry, you get it again. It takes months to get rid of one. I had to take antibiotics after my first surgery because my incision got infected. I had all those lovely side effects from Keflex. The doctor then wanted me to start another week’s worth of Keflex on the day of my second surgery, and I got to go through all of those side effects once again. Blah!

Yes, I think I’m on the generic for Keflex, and so far, it’s made me all churny and sicky feeling. Goody. The good news is that it’s taken away the pain in my face, and most of the headaches too. Luckily, Utah is VERY dry (40% is as humid as it gets), so everything dries out nicely here. I hope you have a lovely weekend too!

Those are the worst sorts of headaches; I’d rather have a migraine. 40% humidity sounds like an answer to a prayer! It’s so damp & chilly here now, the worst time of year for me.
