The After Party: Chapter 1

Charlaine Harris owns almost everything. I own the rest. FairytaleAmber stepped up, yet again, and helped me edit this story. It’s so wonderful getting feedback before I share with the world. 🙂

Also, big love to Gyllene for creating a banner for this story. It’s my very first banner, and I love it! ❤

This started out as a little 2-part story, but turned into something much longer. It takes place during Club Dead, near the end of chapter 9 when Sookie is staked by the FOTS fanatic. This is what I wish had happened after…

This chapter is NSFW. Find a secluded spot…

Chapter 1

Sookie’s POV

“We’ll take her to my place,” Russell said. “The limo is on its way. I’m sure a familiar face would make her more comfortable, don’t you agree?”

Eric nodded and then Sookie passed out.

Her head swam. “You’re carrying me? But your suit…”

“Shh,” Eric hushed. “We’re going to sit down now. It’s going to hurt.”

White-hot pain shot through her side and she gulped for air. She focused on the faces across from her. Anything to take her mind off the pain.

Talbot clicked his tongue. “Poor dear.” He slid his hand onto Russell’s knee. “You’re good to take care of her like this.”

Russell gave him a coy smile. “She saved Betty Joe. It’s the least I can do. Besides, we have plenty of room now.”

Just like that, an image of Bill popped into Talbot’s head. Sookie held her breath and then her heart crushed as an image of a dark-haired woman joined Bill. That must be Lorena. They’re together. They left together. Tears welled in her eyes and she started sobbing.

Eric touched her face and tried to adjust her body so she would be more comfortable.

She shook her head, but words wouldn’t form. Talbot continued to broadcast images of Bill being tortured. Lorena with a knife. Bill telling them everything about the computer program. Bill was battered, but had given in to Lorena. In more way than one.

Her body coiled as her heart broke, sending another pulse of pain through her, and then darkness swept her away.

The next time her consciousness surfaced, she couldn’t stop smiling. Eric’s arms held her gently and they were ascending a grand staircase. “Rhett and Scarlet,” she said.

“I don’t understand,” Eric answered with a frown.

“Gone with the Wind! You’ve got to see it! I have it on DVD. You could come over and watch it with me.” She tried to focus on him but couldn’t quite make out the edges of his face. “Why am I acting so stupid? Why am I not scared?”

“A human doctor gave you a big dose of drugs. I’m carrying you to a room so you can be healed.” He smiled and moved gracefully upstairs. He put her down in the middle of a beautiful four-post bed. “How’s your pain?”

For the moment, they were alone. Sookie squeezed her eyes shut. “He left me. He’s not here. He didn’t want me.” Hot tears spilled out of her eyes.

“Bill?” Eric whispered.

“He’s with Lorena.”

He shook his head. “No wonder I couldn’t find him.”

“He was here. Until recently. Talbot knew everything. I saw them together.” She squeezed her eyes shut again wishing she could erase the images of their intimate embrace from her brain. Bill apparently liked it rough. “I wish she had killed him.” She slapped her hand over her mouth. “What was in those drugs?”

Eric swept a piece of her hair off her forehead. “I don’t know.”

“I can’t stop talking. It’s like a truth serum or something.”

His eyebrows arched. “Really? How do you feel about me?”

She pressed her lips together and shook her head. No fair!

He smiled and then someone opened the door. The room filled with a handful of beautiful men.

“What is this, the after party?” Sookie asked.

Eric laughed and then Russell introduced everyone in the group. He explained how the healing process would happen, only giving Sookie a moment to brace herself as someone pulled the stake out of her side.

“God damn, son of a bitch!” she shouted as she twisted to gape at the wound.

Eric hovered over her. “Don’t, Sookie. Look at me.” He took her hand.

Sookie screamed until her throat hurt, but Eric never let go. Her fingernails cut into his skin as a vampire latched onto the wound, cleaning it with his healing saliva. Every muscle in her body tensed as the pain threatened to overwhelm her.

“Let go,” Eric said, so she loosened her grip. “No, not of me,” he said smiling. “You can hold onto me as long as you want. Let go of the pain, Sookie. Let go. You need to drift away.”

Her eyes locked on his as she listened to his voice, and then she did exactly what he said, letting the pain seep out of her body.

The next time she awoke, she and Eric were alone. In bed. Eric faced her, lying on his side, with one arm and one leg draped over her. Their hair mingled together on the pillow as he slept. Is it already morning? She looked next to the bed and noticed her beautiful dress, stained and bloody, arranged over the arm of a chair and a pile of olive green clothes heaped on the seat. She pushed the covers down and realized the only thing that remained from her outfit were her matching lacy bra and panties and black garter and stockings. A flush moved through her body, making the new patch of healing skin particularly hot. She touched the circle on her side. The pain lingered, but was nowhere near where it had been earlier.

“It’s much better,” Eric said.

Sookie gasped. “I thought it was morning.”

“No, we still have a few hours.” Eric propped himself up on one elbow, letting the blankets fall away from him. He wore silk boxers and nothing else.

That’s his suit on the chair. She swallowed hard. All those fantasies about Eric just might come true if I do something about it. “Thank you, Eric.”

“For what?” His hand caressed her stomach.

“For standing by me in the club. For coming here with me. For not leaving me alone with these people.” She stared at his mouth.

“How grateful are you?” he asked. His bright eyes focused on hers. “Is that medicine still working?”

“Wouldn’t you like to know?” A smile cracked her serious face.

“You know I would,” he said, and then he kissed her.

She moaned and rolled toward him, wrapping her arms around his neck so she could pull him closer, crushing her breasts against his smooth, cool chest. His hands moved everywhere all at the same time, warming every inch of her body. First, he unhooked her bra, and then he pulled her panties to the side and slid a finger inside her. Their tongues pushed and pulled against each other as he pumped into her. She let one of her hands fall away from his neck, moving it down across his rippled stomach, and down to his boxers. His body jumped as she brushed against his cock, and then he moaned when she found it again. Holy shit, he’s huge. Her heart raced when the window blew open, slamming against the wall.

Eric pulled away from her, making her body shudder as he left a void inside her.

“Is anyone there?” she asked, her voice breathy.

He peered out into the dark sky and shook his head. He latched the window and pulled the curtains shut. He sauntered back toward the bed, pushing his boxers onto the ground. “Now where were we?”

Her mouth hung open, and her heart threatened to leap out of her chest with each step he took toward her.

He crawled up the bottom of the bed and touched her panties. His eyebrows drew together, “Are you sure you want this?”

Bill left me. Hurt me. Eric has never left. He’s never hurt me. He would never do what Bill did. He gets me. He has feelings for me. And I have feelings for him. “Yes,” she answered, never so sure about anything in her life. “I want you. I want this.” She caressed his muscled chest as he pulled her panties off, tossing them onto the floor with his boxers. Sookie smiled, pushed herself up, and cried out. The pain whooshed back in, overpowering every other urge in her body, despite the naked Viking god hovering over her.

Eric cradled her body, his eyebrows drawn together as he investigated her side. “You need blood.”

She gritted her teeth. “Something tore. Inside.”

He sat down next to her. “Like I said, you need blood.”

She bit her lip and nodded. “Okay.”

Eric reclined on the bed, lifting Sookie on top of him. They both moaned when their bodies touched. His hips instinctively lifted up, thrusting against her wet heat.

She ignored the throbbing in her side for a moment and braced herself against his chest while she dipped her hips, crushing her clit against his hard-on. “So good,” she said through the pain.

Eric brought his arm to his mouth and bit into it just as Sookie positioned the head of his cock at her slick opening. Euphoria made her head swim. “Drink.” He pushed his bleeding wrist toward her. The second her mouth latched onto the wound, he started to push inside her slowly.

She moaned against his skin and forced her body to relax.

He gripped her hips, playing with the smooth material of her garter, and squeezed his eyes shut. “Fuck.”

His blood pinged through her body, healing her side and erasing the pain and replacing it with pleasure. Once he was inside her all the way, she pulled away from his wrist and took a deep breath. Only a little blood remained on the nearly healed bite mark, so she licked it clean. Filled with power, desire, and lust, Sookie gripped his chest and started moving.

Eric’s eyes shot open, and then he started thrusting into her, matching her rhythm. Her breasts bounced every time their bodies met, a fact that had not gone unnoticed by him. He lifted his hips, forcing her nipple into his open mouth. He sucked and fucked until she couldn’t tell which way was up, and then his mouth moved to the other breast. She screamed as she came, squeezing his cock with one contraction after another.

A strangled noise escaped his throat, and he held perfectly still. When Sookie caught her breath, she smiled at him. “Whoa.”

Eric smiled. “We’re not done,” he said, and then he flipped her over. The muscles in his arms bulged as he began thrusting again.

Sookie turned her face and kissed his arm, and then she bit him playfully. Eric growled and thrust harder, taking her breath away. She trailed kisses along the stretch of skin she could reach, biting him occasionally, lifting to meet each brutal thrust. She closed her eyes and focused on the pleasure coiling inside her. “I’m close. Bite me.”

Eric’s mouth fell onto hers, kissing and sucking on her bloodstained lips. “Are you sure?”

“Yes. Do it,” she demanded, and then she grabbed his ass, pulling him against her with more force than before.

He kissed along her jaw and then down her throat, stopping when he got to the base of her neck. He scraped her skin with his fangs and then he opened his mouth.

Sookie latched her mouth onto his shoulder and grazed his skin with her blunt teeth at the same time he bit. She came again, and that time, he came with her. They held onto each other and enjoyed each involuntary movement as they coasted down from bliss.

He removed his mouth with a loud pop and then licked her neck clean. “You’re healing quickly.” He touched the puncture wound with his fingers.

“Thanks to you.” She kissed him that time, marveling at the happiness she could feel coming from him. “Do you still want to know how I feel about you?”

“I think I have some idea.” He put his hand over his heart.

Someone knocked on the door. “Leif?”

Eric moved in a blur through the room, tossing Sookie’s undergarments onto the bed. She quickly tucked them under the covers with her and yanked them up. And then Eric stood at the door wearing his silk boxers. “Bernard,” he said. Sookie could hear the smile in his voice. Eric swept his hand toward the bed.

Sookie acted as frail as possible.

Bernard turned out to be Curly, the small vampire she had seen at Club Dead. “Well look at you! You seem better,” he leaned over her in the bed and narrowed his eyes. “A lot better.”

Sookie sighed. “I’m healing, but still shaky. I must look a mess.” She turned her face to cover what remained of her bite mark.

“Hush now.” He patted her gently. “Anyway, R…”

Out of the corner of her eye, she watched Eric approach. She and Curly both appreciated the view.

Curly cleared his throat. “As I was saying, Russell figured you would need new clothes after we cut your beautiful dress off. And I thought you might like this.” He showed her a bathrobe printed with black and pink flowers swirling across white silk.

“Thank you,” she offered a weak smile, letting her eyes flutter shut.

“She needs her rest,” Eric said. “She’s healing, thanks to the generosity of your king.”

“Leif, he was glad to do it,” Curly said. “But he will be, ah, best pleased if she can leave before the sun rises.”

Having an unknown human wandering the royal grounds during the day could be very dangerous indeed.

“As much a I’d like you to stay…”

Sookie peeked through her eyelashes and saw Curly caressing Eric’s bare chest. Jealousy reared its ugly head, fueling a new fire inside her.

“Perhaps you could take her back to her boyfriend?” His fingers played across Eric’s nipples. “Of course, there’s always room for you here … if you want to come back.”

“I can understand your king’s concerns, and I would be happy to take Sookie home.” Eric walked Curly to the door. “I also appreciate your offer, Bernard. More than you know.”

Bernard cooed and handed him the robe.

She bit the inside of her cheek and fought tears. Why did I ever think things would be different with Eric? He got what he wanted and now he’s done with me. Just like Bill.

“Thank you again. I’ll take Sookie home right now,” he said and then he shut the door. He pressed his ear against it and held perfectly still. After a few seconds, Eric faced her.

Sookie pushed the covers off and lifted her hips so she could slide her panties back on and then she sat up. Eric’s eyes glazed over as she put her bra back on. She practically jumped out of bed, throwing the blankets into the depression left by her body. She snatched the robe out of his hands and tugged it onto her shoulders while she slipped her heels on. Only when she had the belt tied did Eric snap out of his trance.

“What are you doing?” His fangs thrust down from his upper lip.

“Getting dressed.” So you can take me back to my boyfriend. And so you can get back to yours. She stalked over to the window, yanked the curtains open, and then pulled the frame open so hard that the pane of glass shattered, littering the floor with glittering shards. She hissed and squeezed her eyes shut.

Eric cradled her hand, which bled freely from the new cut. He brought her palm to his mouth and sucked gently, spitting out the piece of glass embedded in her skin.

She pulled her hand away, marveling at how fast it healed. “We need to leave.”

I love how Eric tried to get her to tell him how she feels about him and the window blowing open and no Bubba! I’m wonder about their exchange. Does Eric think Sookie knows about blood bonds and ties? That Bill told her? Oh poor jealous Sookie! I hope they clear this up. I don’t want her to think he got what he wants and is done with her.

Seeing is believing, it was good Sookie saw Beehl in Talbot’s mind. What Beehl did seeing it through Talbot is so fresh that it’s understandable why Sookie thinks Eric wasn’t serious about her. They definitely need to talk, but now really isn’t the time.

What a lovely way for me to wake up with a new chapter. Is it Friday yet? Yes yes I’m spoiled. LOL

    • YvonnAd, You might have to read a synopsis of the book, but once you get to the part where Sookie is staked, that’s where my story picks up and canon no longer exists. 🙂 I’m so glad you liked the lemons. There’s more coming… Thank you so much for reviewing! 🙂 Have a great weekend!

Sookie has been betrayed by Bill, so naturally she’s afraid to trust Eric completely. He’ll have to help her heal from the Billshit. At least if Bill has left with Lorena, he won’t be there to hurt Sookie, not that she would trust him that close again. Great chapter, more, please.

    • 🙂 Thank you so much for that lovely review!! You’re right. Sookie has a hard time trusting, which is why it’s a good thing she’s with Eric. He always knows what to say to reassure her! She’s done with Bill. For good. You’ll see…

Poor Sookie, all she knows is how her insular world thinks about her and the way Bill treated her. Hopefully the Viking will be able to talk some sense into our girl. I loved Bubba. I wish they’d have had him in the show. They could have at least given one out of work Elvis impersonator a job 🙂 Besides how much stinkier could it have been considering what the “creative” team gave us for Season 7. patsy
