Spoiler: Sookie’s Present Chapter 2

Here’s a little sneak peek at the next chapter. Thank you to everyone who followed me here from fanfiction. There’s no way I could risk posting this over there.

On a completely unrelated note, I wrote a short story and just published it through Kindle Direct Publishing on Amazon.com. It’s called Kiss & Ride. It’s a short, sweet, and HEA story, and oddly, the first PG-13 story I’ve ever written.  I’ve updated my September Roberts blog with all the details. She melted into his touch and closed her eyes. “Being around you is so…relaxing.”

“I’ve never heard that before. People are usually tense around me.”

“You’re different.”

“We’ve already established that.” He took a step closer and his other hand caressed her hip.

Sookie brought her hands up between them and explored the smooth plane of crisp cotton that covered his chest. “I want you.” Sookie bit her lip and squeezed her eyes shut. “I’m not usually this blunt. You’ve scrambled my brain or something.”

Eric laughed quietly and stared into her eyes. “I want you too.” His mouth fell on top of hers, igniting a fire inside her. His lips were as cool as his fingers, and she couldn’t get enough.

“You’re yummy.” Sookie grinned and her head swam. She was glad she’d only had one drink. She wanted to remember every moment with Eric for the rest of her life.

Eric’s mouth moved down the side of her neck, licking and sucking as he went. He trailed kisses along her exposed shoulder and then across her collarbone. He tugged the material down, revealing her other shoulder and letting the material of her dress rest loosely against her breasts.

Sookie wiggled out of her wings, letting them drop to the ground. She took a sharp breath in as he kissed the slope of her breast. Her whole body tensed.

Eric stopped, his mouth hovering an inch above her skin. “I’m not going to hurt you. You have to trust me.”

Sookie nodded and let him back her up against the wall. Instead of bending over her as he’d done before, Eric fell to his knees. His face was level with her breasts. “You’re really tall.”

“It’s very helpful.” His tongue darted out, dipping between her breasts and disappearing inside the fabric of her dress. His angelic face was tilted up to hers as he kissed her skin. She watched as he pulled the top of the dress down, exposing her breasts completely. The costume slid down her waist and hung from her hips, showing a trace of her white panties. His eyes closed as he nuzzled her skin, and when he sucked her nipple into his mouth, she almost came. Her body arched away from the wall and he held her firmly, sucking one and then the other nipple into his mouth. He inhaled deeply. “You smell delicious.” He inhaled again, and this time, his face moved south until it was level with the waistband of her panties. When he looked at her again, he was no longer angelic. He had been transformed into a wild beast. The blue in his eyes was nearly gone and he looked as hungry as she felt.

“Eric.” His name came out on a breath.

“Say it again.” He nipped at her panties and gripped her ass, pulling her firmly against his face.

“Eric.” She dug her fingers into his hair.
