Glamoured: Epilogue

Charlaine Harris owns almost everything. I own the rest. NSFW yet again. 🙂 Thank you, SeriousCrush, for keeping me from making Eric sound like a douche. No one wants that. I love you so!

Whatever holiday you may be celebrating this time of year, this is my gift to you to say thank you for all you do for me. I hope it brightens your day a little.

Epilogue:

Sookie paced the length of her front porch as she waited for Eric. She tugged at the hem of her short black dress. It was a gift from Eric, one he specifically requested for that evening.

The moment had finally arrived: opening night for the new and improved Glamoured. Eric had been working for weeks in preparation, and it was about to pay off. She assumed that their developing relationship would suffer while he dedicated so much time to his new project, but they always saw each other every night. The only rule was: Sookie was not allowed to visit him at work. Whatever changes he was making were a surprise.

When they discussed opening night, Sookie offered to drive herself out to Shreveport, but he insisted they arrive together. The whole thing was very mysterious. It was difficult to get information out of him, especially since he seemed to know how to distract her with that talented mouth of his.

Everything about Sookie had changed in the last few weeks. For the first time in her life, she was calm, confident, and satisfied, and with that, came a deep feeling of happiness. Also, the more time she spent around Eric, the more she could control her telepathy. It became second nature to her, even when he wasn’t around. Dr. Ludwig was amazed at her progress every time they met.

Gravel crunched as Eric drove toward the house. In the blink of an eye, he was standing on the stair below her. He was a magnificent sight in his skin-tight black jeans and black leather vest. “You are stunning in that dress.”

Sookie blushed. “Thank you. You have good taste.”

“Remind me to go shopping for you more often.” Eric produced a bouquet of flowers. “Is Adele home?” He always brought flowers.

Sookie grinned. “No, she’s at a meeting tonight. Good thing too. She’d probably have a heart attack seeing you in this outfit. You look like a Viking god.” She wanted to undress him and have her wicked way with him, but she remembered her manners and held her hand out. “I’ll put them in a vase for her.” As fast as she could, she took them inside and then joined Eric on the porch. “You’re sweet.”

“Shh. Don’t tell anyone.” He pulled her into a passionate kiss, taking her breath away. “We should be going.”

“Are you going to tell me anything?”

“You’re just going to have to see it for yourself.” Eric grinned and opened the passenger door.

Sookie tried to get into the car like a lady, but failed miserably. “Now I know why you bought me a short dress.”

Eric pressed his lips together over his bumpy teeth.

Sookie scowled at him.

He laughed quietly. “Okay, fine. I admit it. I love watching you get into my car. Especially when you’re wearing the panties I bought you.” His fingers slid between her legs and rubbed against the lacy material.

Sookie sighed and relaxed into the seat, waiting for more. But instead of more, he pulled his hand away, started the car, and backed down the driveway.

She scowled at him. “Is that how it’s going to be?”

He glanced at her. “I have plans. For later.”

Sookie crossed her arms over her chest and pouted. “What if I’m not in the mood later?”

A dry laugh erupted out of Eric. “I hope I might be able to persuade you.”

“Jerk,” she muttered under her breath.

Eric only smiled.

When they arrived at Glamoured, a huge crowd was gathering outside. Bigger than anything Sookie had witnessed previously. Eric parked behind the building, away from the noisy crowd, right in front of the entrance to the cemetery. A shiver went down Sookie’s spin as memories of their moments in the secluded place came back to her. Eric got out and opened her door. To get back at him for his stunt earlier, Sookie swung one leg out of the car, making the short dress roll up even farther, flashing more of the burgundy panties Eric was so fond of. He swallowed hard and licked his lips. She put her hand in his and stepped out of the car and crushed her body against his. He growled as her nearly exposed sex rubbed against his leg.

Eric dug his fingers into her hair and kissed her, pushing her against his car, his fangs scraping against her swollen lips. “You’re going to be the death of me.”

Sookie snickered. “You started it.”

“Before we go in…” His breath caressed her lips.

She raised her eyebrows, waiting for him to go on.

“I need to mark you, so everyone knows you’re mine.” His face was dead serious.

“Mark me? You mean bite me?”

Eric nodded.

She cleared her throat. “And if anyone asks, you tell them you’re mine.”

“Yours.” He kissed her again, and then his mouth moved down to the base of her neck. He was waiting.

She tilted her head to the side. “Bite me.”

Eric’s fangs pierced her skin lightly and he drank as she writhed against his body, never getting enough friction to satisfy the hunger inside her. He removed his mouth with a pop. The tiny wound at the base of her neck pulsed with each beat of her heart. When she touched it, she was surprised to see a smudge of crimson on her fingers. Eric’s mouth moved back to her neck, cleaning the tiny remnant of blood, but he didn’t heal her.

“You’re mine.”

Sookie smoothed her dress down, smiled, and kissed him, a hint of blood on his lips. “Yours.”

Eric took her hand and led her through the crowd. His presence was enough to silence the group around them. Sookie didn’t need to read their minds to know what they were thinking, but it didn’t matter. He had chosen her. She held her head high and gripped his hand tighter.

Chow stood guard by the door, slowly letting people inside. As they neared, Sookie noticed a glitzy new awning hanging over the main entrance that read: FANGTASIA.

“Do you like it?” Eric whispered as they walked inside. Worry creased his forehead.

She kissed him. He had changed his brainwashing business into an upscale vampire bar. It was perfect. “I love it.”

“Good.” His shoulders relaxed. “Because I want you to work here, as my head of security.”

Sookie laughed and then stopped abruptly when she looked in his eyes. He was serious. “Security?”

Eric nodded. “There’s no one better for the job.” And then he added, “I’m a good boss. I’ll make sure you’re happy.”

“I bet you will.” He always made her happy. She grinned and squeezed his hand.

“Does that mean you’ll take it?”

“Yes!” She had no idea how she was going to explain her new job to Gran. She also had the unpleasant task of quitting her job at Merlotte’s, but that was a worry for another day.

Just then, Pam glided over, her dress billowing behind her. “Welcome to the team, Bon Temps.”

Sookie frowned. Where did she come from? “How did you…?”

Pam grinned. “No time for questions. We need to get to work. They’ve been waiting for you.” She nodded to Eric and then to the throne on the stage.

Eric and Sookie kissed one last time before he sauntered over to the enormous chair.

“For the record,” Pam whispered, “I think this is better than Glamoured.”

“I agree.” Sookie glanced around the room, noticing the vampires scattered through the crowd, attracting the attention of human customers. None attracted as much as Eric, which was something she was going to have to get used to.

Sookie would be working with Pam, which was oddly comforting. But while Pam played the part of a flashy vampire, Sookie blended into the crowd and listened. At one point, she had to break up a heated conversation between a drunk woman and a vampire who could’ve stepped right out of a Civil War painting. At first, she was just going to throw the woman out, but after the creepy vamp touched her and called her sugar, she called for reinforcements. Keeping the peace was relatively easy with the help of someone as super-strong as Pam.

Moments later, someone tapped her on the shoulder. It was Eric, but he didn’t seem happy to see her. “Everything okay?”

“May I have a word in my office?”

Maybe she shouldn’t have made a vampire leave. Worry and doubt twisted her stomach into knots. Sookie followed him down the hall, and once they reached the office, she said, “Eric? Is everything okay?”

He whisked her inside impossibly fast and closed the door. His mouth latched on hers. When he pulled away, Sookie was panting. “I can’t stand the idea of that filthy bastard putting his hands on you.”

“Pam took care of him. Is it okay that I told him to leave?” She wound her fingers together.

“More than okay. I trust your judgment on humans and vampires.” He kissed her again. “I don’t like anyone else touching you. Especially not vampires. He should’ve known better. You’re mine.”

“Yours.” She gripped his hands and put them on her body.

He moved the hem of her dress up, revealing her panties again, but this time, he tugged at the thin material, ripping them off.

Sookie’s fingers fumbled over the button on his impossibly tight jeans, and sighed when it finally opened. Eric lifted her body and pinned her against the heavy wooden door. She pulled his cock out and guided the head against her slick opening. “Mine.” The words came out between clenched teeth just as Eric thrust into her.

“Yours.” Eric whispered into her ear. His hips moved slowly at first and then gained speed until the room was filled with the sounds of Sookie’s breath being forced out of her lungs and her ass bumping against the door.

Every muscle in her body contracted as she came, and Eric’s mouth clamped on hers to silence her scream. His hips thrust wildly and then his dick swelled inside her. She held onto him for what seemed like forever, riding the wave of pleasure coursing through her.

“I like what you had planned.” Sookie rested her forehead against his and smiled, but Eric shook his head.

“I didn’t plan that.”

“But you said you had plans for later.”

The corner of his mouth pulled up, making a crooked smile. “I meant after work. I just couldn’t wait.”

Eric lifted her and eased out of her body. They both shuddered at the loss of contact and then he put her on the ground.

She picked up the torn piece of burgundy fabric. “You owe me a new pair of panties,” she said as she tucked them in his front pocket, rubbing against his growing erection.

“Yes I do. But now, it makes my plans for later a little easier.” His eyes danced.

Sookie laughed. “Well then, I suppose we should get back to work, so I can find out what you have in mind.”

Eric raised an eyebrow. “It involves you, me, and that desk.”

Sookie smiled innocently. “Are we going to do paperwork?” She put her hand on the doorknob and opened the door.

“No.” He swatted her ass as she turned to go down the hall. “Now get back to work.”

“Yes, boss.” Sookie winked over her shoulder. Work had never been so fun.

Such a wonderful Christmas present! Thank you! Loved the epilogue as much as the rest of the story! I agree with askarsgirl; you really do write the Eric character so well, Sookie too, but you’ve definitely captured the Viking’s “personality?” LOL! It’s been a fun story that I’ll miss, but I’ll look forward to the new one. Merry Christmas!

Thanks so much for this chapter, an unexpected Christmas gift. I echo the comments above about hoping for a sequel. You have written Sookie & Eric as their fans always hoped they would be. And slipping Bill in at the last, was great fun. Love the way you write Eric and look forward to reading more of their adventures together.
